Gal Gadot, best known for her role as Wonder Woman, has shared that her youngest daughter was born during an emergency surgery prompted by a “massive” blood clot discovered in her brain while she was pregnant.
The 39-year-old actress revealed that she received the “terrifying” diagnosis in her eighth month of pregnancy in February, after enduring weeks of “excruciating” headaches.
“We rushed to the hospital, and within hours, I underwent emergency surgery,” Gadot wrote on Instagram. “My daughter, Ori, was born during that moment of uncertainty and fear.”
The Israeli actress explained that she chose the name Ori, which means “my light” in Hebrew, because her daughter symbolized “the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.”
Gadot expressed her gratitude, saying she is now “fully healed and filled with gratitude for the life I’ve been given back.”
