A cyber hacker has admitted to stealing unreleased music from artists such as Coldplay, Canadian singer Shawn Mendes, and US artist Bebe Rexha.

Skylar Dalziel, 22, reportedly earned around £42,000 by selling the stolen tracks online, according to the City of London Police.

Prosecutor Richard Partridge stated that Dalziel “selfishly exploited their music for personal gain by selling it on the dark web.”

The hacker, from Winchester Gardens in Luton, pleaded guilty to 11 copyright offences at Luton Crown Court. She was sentenced to 21 months in prison, suspended for 24 months.
