James Lee Williams, widely recognised as the drag queen The Vivienne, has passed away at the age of 32.
Publicist Simon Jones described the performer, who died over the weekend, as “an incredibly loved, warm-hearted, and amazing person.”
The Vivienne was known for appearances in musical theatre and television productions and gained prominence by winning the inaugural series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019.
The show expressed its sorrow on social media, stating they were “deeply saddened” by the news of the performer’s passing.
