Donald Trump has stated he will “most likely” grant TikTok a 90-day reprieve from a ban set to take effect on Sunday, the day before his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

Speaking to NBC News, Trump indicated that an announcement on the matter would likely be made on Monday, following his assumption of office.

The development follows warnings from the social media platform that it would “go dark” on Sunday unless the outgoing Biden administration provided assurances that the ban would not be enforced.
